Published in Bucharest in 1980 this is a wondeful resource for designers and embroiderers.
A looseleaf folder with a hard cover measuring 35.5 x 25.5cm, containing a total of 355 patterns, as line drawings, over 108 loose leaf pages each each opening up to 48 x 34 cm with a central fold Printed in blue and red.
There is information about the pattern ; its name, origin, original size, owner/ maker on the reverse of each pattern.
These patterns come from Kalotaszeg in Transylvania and this irasos ( written embroidery ) is emblematic of the area).
In addition there is a 15 page booklet with old images of embroidery plus stitch instructions.
Complete and in good used condition
